Visit of HH Karmapa Thinley Thaye Dorje to Dechen, July 2024
Green Tara, medicine buddha, chenrezik and guidance on the bodhisattva way of lifeFrom 17–23 July, His Holiness the 17th Karmapa visited northern England to teach at Lama Jampa Thaye’s Dechen Kagyu centres.
In Harrogate, he bestowed the Green Tara, Medicine Buddha, and Chenrezik initiations and taught on The Way of the Bodhisattva, emphasising the power of aspiration and the wish to awaken.
His Holiness also blessed the stupa at Kagyu Ling and met with Lama Jampa Thaye to discuss the Dharma’s growth in the West.
