Teachings and 2023 Dechen Conference: Overcoming Obstacles and Developing Wisdom

Students from three continents gathered in Manchester for a weekend of profound teachings with Lama Jampa Thaye, continuing his commentary on Situ Dharmakara’s explanation of the Third Karmapa’s Mahamudra Aspiration Prayer.

Lama Jampa’s teachings illuminated the fourth of the five aspirations—how to practise the path correctly—guiding students from understanding the nature of mind to establishing stability in meditation.

The weekend also featured the Dechen Conference, where Lama Jampa spoke on the joy and inspiration of working for the Dharma, and concluded with the Confession Prayer before the Thirty-Five Buddhas and the Vajrakilaya jenang, embodying indestructible compassion that transcends all obstacles.
