Visit of His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen — Santa Monica, 2024

In August 2024, His Holiness Sakya Gongma Trichen, the 41st Sakya Trizin, graced Dechen LA with his presence at the invitation of Lama Jampa Thaye.

In a beautiful ceremony beneath sunny California skies, he bestowed the rare Vajrapani Bhutadamara initiation to over two hundred disciples in the Colonnade Ballroom at Hotel Casa del Mar.

During his visit he also offered many blessings, shared Dharma teachings, and met with the sangha to deepen our connection to transmission and practice.
