Lama Jampa Thaye in Stuttgart 14th February 2015 On 31 January, hosted by Sakya Dechen Ling, Stuttgart, Lama Jampa taught the first two of the “Seven Points of Mind training” by Thokme Zangpo. The instructions of the Seven Point Mind-Training originated with the three great teachers of Lord Atisha: Maitriyogin, who could actually take upon himself the sufferings of others; Guru Dharmarakshita, who realized the nature of emptiness by meditating on love and compassion and Serlingpa Guru Dharmakirti, who devoted his whole life to the practice of bodhichitta. The tradition of Dharmakirti also encompasses the teachings of Maitriyogin and Dharmarakshita. The great Kadam Master Thokme Zangpo (1297-1371), was born in Puljung, south west of the great Sakya Monastery, he is also the author of the “37 Practices of a Bodhisattva”. On 1 February Lama Jampa gave the initiation of “White Tara” according to the tradition of Shakya Shri. Lama Jampa will return to Stuttgart on 13 June, to teach the next part of the text and to bestow the initiation of “Sanjay Menla”.
