Lama Jampa Thaye teaches in Manchester 6th December 2013 The Manchester sangha were very happy to welcome Lama Jampa to the spacious surroundings of the Studio where the Mikyo Dorje Shedra was held on November 30-December 1. Lama Jampa taught the first part of Discriminating between Consciousness and Primordial Wisdom (Namshe Yeshe) by the Third Karmpapa Rangjung Dorje from a new translation of the commentary The Lamp that Dispels Darkness written by Karma Thinley Rinpoche in the 1980’s. Lama Jampa first gave this teaching nineteen years ago and he emphasised the importance of studying and memorising the text in order to preserve the dharma. The teachings were very well attended and the Shedra concluded on the Sunday afternoon when Lama Jampa bestowed the initiation of Amitabha from the treasure lineage of Mingyur Dorje.
