Lama Jampa Thaye teaches in Harrogate 12th March 2013 On Saturday, 9 March in Harrogate Lama Jampa Thaye taught the first part of ‘One Hundred Pieces of Advice to the People of Tingri’ by Dampa Sanjye, an important Tibetan master in the “Zhi-je” and “Chod” lineages. In the afternoon, Lama Jampa gave refuge to new members of the Yorkshire sangha prior to bestowing the long-life initiation of Namgyalma from the Narthang Gyatsa lineage of Atisha. During the day the coordinator of Kagyu Dechen Dzong, Howard Quinn, launched the ‘New Centre for Yorkshire’ project and appeal. He outlined the intentions of the Yorkshire sangha to move to a more accessible and appropriate location in Harrogate. At the conclusion of the initiation, Lama Jampa referred to the momentous recent visit of His Holiness Trinley Thaye Dorje to Yorkshire and commended this project to the sangha. Lama Jampa will teach the second part of ‘One Hundred Pieces of Advice to the People of Tingri’ on 7 September 2013 in Harrogate.
