Personal data is collected by the following methods:

• when an individual registers their email address through our website;
• when an individual provides personal details at a teaching or other event;
• when an individual provides personal details by email, telephone, letter or other medium.

2. Use of Data

Personal data is collected and retained for the purpose of informing individuals regarding Buddhist teachings and events organised by the Dechen association of Sakya and Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist centres and groups. 

3. Marketing Communications

Currently personal data is used by Dechen to advise individuals of Buddhist teachings and events organised by the Dechen association of Sakya and Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist centres and groups by direct mail and/or email.

4. Opt-Out of Receiving Communications

To opt out of receiving communications from the Dechen association of Sakya and Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist centres and groups email unsubscribe@dechen.org.

5. Disclosure of Data

Outside of the Dechen association of Sakya and Karma Kagyu Tibetan Buddhist centres and groups, data will not be disclosed.
