Sakya Pandita’s ‘Discriminating the Three Vows’

For the first time Lama Jampa Thaye will teach Sakya Pandita’s masterpiece, ‘Discriminating the Three Vows’ which offers a brilliant examination of the spiritual disciplines found in the Three Vehicles.
Topics dealt with in this work include the reality of Buddha Nature, the ethics of a bodhisattva and the correct practice of vajrayana. The teaching will be given over a period of twelve days.
There are no restrictions to the attendance of these teachings.

Facility fee: £100. These fees cover the expenses of running the course, with any surplus going towards the annual upkeep of Sakya Changlochen Ling, as well as improvements and repairs.
As usual there will be an opportunity to make offerings to the Lama on completion of the teaching programme.
Booking: Please make your booking with Sakya Centre Bristol. Booking forms will be available from the beginning of February 2008.
Dharma School: There will be a Dharma School for children over the age of three, of parents attending the teachings. This will comprise dharma-related activities and will run during the times that Lama Jampa is giving the teachings. If you wish your child(ren) to attend the Dharma School, please let us know at the earliest opportunity, to assist us with the organisation. Please note that parents will be expected to help and participate in the Dharma School activities. There will be a small fee for each child, to be announced.

Accommodation: There are various kinds of accommodation available in the area to suit everybody.
Brin D’Amour Camping is a large campsite adjacent to Sakya Changlochen Ling. Chalets and mobile homes may be available if booked soon, as well as ample camping space bookable in advance, but payable on arrival. campingbrindamour@orange.fr / www.campingbrindamour.com

Sakya Changlochen Ling has limited camping space so please submit your request early to avoid disappointment. The camping fees at Sakya Changlochen Ling will be £40 per person per week.
Travel: As well as travel by road and ferry (book soon to get lower prices), or rail to Le Bugue or Le Buisson, there are direct flights with Ryan Air (www.ryanair.com) to Bergerac from London, Bristol, Manchester, Liverpool, Birmingham and many other places. From Bergerac station the train takes about one hour to Le Bugue or Le Buisson, or you could share a taxi from the airport to Sakya Changlochen Ling. Otherwise a flight to Bordeaux followed by a 2 hour train journey would get you to Le Bugue. From here you can get a taxi the last 6 kilometres.
