SAKYA CHANGLOCHEN LING is the Dechen Community’s rural retreat centre in the Dordogne region of South-West France. The Centre has a Tibetan-style shrine room and other facilities set in four acres of land, surrounded by woodlands and open countryside. It is here in this tranquil environment that the annual Dechen Summer Course is held, where Lama Jampa Thaye gives major Sakya teachings and leads meditation retreats.
This year, Lama Jampa Thaye will be leading two weeks of teachings and retreat at Sakya Changlochen Ling. There is a choice to attend either of the one-week courses or both weeks.

Sakya Pandita‘s ‘Elucidating the Thought of the Sage’
Week 1 - Sunday 19th to Friday 24th August
The first week will comprise Part 1 of a textual teaching by Lama Jampa Thaye on Sakya Pandita‘s ‘Elucidating the Thought of the Sage’.
Sakya Pandita’s masterpiece is regarded as one of the most influential works in Tibetan Buddhism. It serves as a wonderful introduction to the Dharma Path, describing in detail the stages of the Path, and clarifying confusion about the development of ethics, meditation and wisdom.

Wishfulfilling Wheel of White Tara Retreat
Week 2 - Sunday 26th to Friday 31st August
This is a rare opportunity to receive the extraordinary teachings of the Wishfulfilling Wheel of White Tara, transmitted in the Tsarpa branch of the Sakya tradition. This system of practice is the principal vajrayana means of achieving longevity. The course will begin with the initiation and tri (instruction) of White Tara from the lineage of Vagishvakirti. Following this teaching there will be a 4-day retreat practice, giving all participants time to familiarise themselves with the meditation of White Tara.
