Sakya Buddhism Exeter

Sakya Thinley Namgyal Ling was established in 1983. Lama Jampa Thaye visits periodically to bestow initiations and textual teachings from the Sakya tradition. In addition, the centre has hosted visits from H.H. Sakya Trizin and H.E. Ngor Phende Rinpoche. A continuing programme of meditation classes is offered to the public.

Sakya Thinley Namgyal Ling is administered by the Sakya Thinley Rinchen Ling Trust, registered charity no. 282717.

Introductory Classes

Introductory 'overview' classes ( 29th April and 27th May ) will consist of a  general introduction to Buddhism, designed for those who are new to Buddhism and the Sakya tradition.

Other weekly classes until 24th June will consist of short talks on specific aspects of Buddhism and an introduction to Buddhist meditation. These  are also suitable for newcomers.

Lama Jampa will give a public talk entitled "Buddhism for Today" in which he will explain how we can follow the Buddha's path to enlightenment. Thus he will provide a complete overview of the path followed in the Sakya tradition.
