Sakya Goshak Choling Buddhist Group Birmingham was founded in 1988 to provide an opportunity for people in the Midlands to make contact with the Sakya tradition and learn its systems of meditation and study. In addition to hosting teachings by Lama Jampa Thaye the centre has also been blessed by visits from His Holiness Sakya Trizin and Karma Thinley Rinpoche.

Sakya Ling provides informal individual classes that introduce
two types of Buddhist meditation. Firstly, a guided settling
meditation through which one can develop a stable state of mind. Secondly, at each successive class a reflective meditation that follows a brief explanation of
a key Buddhist topic is introduced.
The classes last about an hour and a quarter and can be arranged in the
evenings at 8 p.m. on a weekday, or during the day at the weekend.
Please phone 0121 449 3296 or email birmingham@dechen.org to arrange a visit. A
suggested donation for the class is £4.00.
