Teachings by Lama Jampa Thaye

Lama Jampa Thaye regularly visits Kagyu Ling to give teachings on texts and practices of the Karma Kagyu tradition, in particular at the annual college of studies.

Regular Meditation Practice

Chenrezik recitation and meditation is held on Sundays at 10am and a long Mahakala puja on the last Sunday of each month.

We also practise the traditional meditations of major deities throughout the lunar month.

Days focussing on particular meditation practices are held throughout the year.

Study Groups - Tuesdays at 8pm
Our ongoing programme of study groups offers an opportunity to study the texts taught by Lama Jampa Thaye in more depth.

Textual Courses - Thursdays at 8pm
Short courses on Buddhist texts are given by experienced students throughout the year.  Click here for more details.

Meditation Sessions

Wednesdays at 8pm and Saturdays at 11am

Kagyu Ling runs meditation sessions on Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings for anyone who is interested in learning more about meditation. Each Session lasts for an hour and is followed by tea.

All are welcome with no previous experience necessary.

Mikyo Dorje Shedra

Founded in 1994, the Mikyo Dorje Shedra, named in honour of the renowned scholar Karmapa Mikyo Dorje, eighth head of the Karma Kagyu tradition, consists of 5 days of teachings between Christmas and New Year.
